The Giant Australian Cuttlefish aggregation
is an annual spectacle in the Upper Spencer Gulf
, usually running from May through to August, with peak activity in June and July.
Like all cuttlefish, Sepia apama possess blue blood, three hearts & eight arms & have
the ability to instantly change skin color, pattern and texture
to camouflage perfectly with their surroundings or to communicate during mating.
