I think maybe students should be protected from poor short-term outcomes, to insure that they have ability to compete in global fields that require strong fundations in subjects like physics, and may widen educational gaps. But I also believe that if students focus not only on their professional performance but also on aquiring knowledge in subjects like physics, it should be encouraged.
