  1. My thought might be a litte wired, you know, when I was a child, I have been thinking about this question for many times: What is the correct way of euthanise use? I personally think, people who will or want to die have the right to choose wether they want to use eythanise or not, although sometimes, they are tolerating pain which made their families feel sad and want to help them to stop. Hence, their families or friends should respect their opinion. However, we cannot know Amani' s willingness, humans should not make the decision (use euthanise to kill her) insted of her. I suggest we can do an expirement, try to use different ways to make Amani happier. Humans have intelligence, someone who can initate an activite to motivate audience to find ways to make Amani feel the joy of life, and record her emotional fluctuation. If she can find happiness after lost her mate, why don't give it a shot? On the other hand, if she become getting worse, at that time, we can help her. The key points of my proposal are respect Amni's awarness, give people a chance to use their wisdom to help animals gain happiness based on their willingness, and find a way to resolve the moral dilemma of euthanasia through Amani's issue. By the way, I still feel happy, as this is a great sign that humans are begining to worry about and want to help animals in an approriate way and take care of their emotions.

    2. yes, i agree...she should have been given a chance to see if she could adjust to life without her mate, especially as they were always kept separated by a wire fence...i.e they could always see each other but were isolated for safety reasons [fighting]...this extra info was not included in the story ...as for humans, i agree that, with the approval of, say, two doctors, euthanasia should be an option for anyone with a terminal illness who chooses to end their life
