next Sunday, 20 October 2024..  "Join the iconic Bay to Birdwood event, where thousands of South Australians and automotive enthusiasts from across the country gather to celebrate automotive history. Witness an impressive parade of over 1,500 historic vehicles along the scenic 67-kilometre route, departing Barratt Reserve from 8:15am for the National Motor Museum in Birdwood, nestled in the Adelaide Hills."

  1. I did some research after reading your blog and ins. I found that an all-new Nissan Maxima was announced on October 20,1988, and the first Cadillac was completed on October 20,1902. I am just wondering why October 20 was chosen as the automotive celebration date. Thanks for your sharing. I have never been to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood, and I wish I had a chance to have a look...

  2. possibly a coincidence..??...i can't find anymore info...the National Motor Museum is worth a look, but IMHO the best part of the Bay to Birdwood is watching the cars arriving from 7am @ Barratt Reserve , West Beach
